The Grey Fox Grille

Such delicious food and fantastic service! Keisha, our waitress, was phenomenal. Highly recommend the chicken cordon blue bites as a side. Will come back on occasion!

I was pleasantly surprised and amazed when I visited the Grey Fox Grille in downtown Dover, Delaware, in Kent County. It was a quaint but welcoming house that had been converted into a bistro. It has elegant decor and small decorative table candles on each table for a nice aesthetic touch. My server Avalon was utterly fantastic: warm, very knowledgeable about the menu items, efficient, friendly, and flawlessly attentive. My best friend and I enjoyed brunch. I loved the chicken and waffles, mimosas, and the superb crab dip! Great place to eat in Dover!

What a perfect way to spend a rainy afternoon. My husband and I went in here for a late "brunch" on Saturday. The staff were friendly, the food was delicious and the fire was going (thought that was a great touch). We lucked out with it not being too busy at the time. The chef let us know about some of the veggies/herbs that were grown in her garden. I loved knowing we were eating fresh food. The interior is very cozy, comforting and eclectic. Oh! I almost forgot... The Bloody Mary's are on point! Definitely a must if you eat here.

My daughter and I went to McGlynn's but the wait was too long (only 45 minutes but we were super hungry). Looking for another place to eat I suggested Grey Fox Grille, and I'm so glad I did! I called ahead to get the wait time (it was a little shorter than the other) and took notice of the friendliness of the person on the other end. Long story short, my daughter and I so enjoyed our meals, and the atmosphere! The staff were so nice and welcoming! They even gave us free cheesy bacon tater tots! And, I found out they are under new ownership and the owner is so nice. She was helping out on the floor as well and very welcoming; everyone was/is. There was also a one-man band who's there every second Saturday of the month. From the time we entered the restaurant until we left, everyone we encountered were super welcoming, attentive, and friendly, and, the food was delicious! If you're looking for a nice spot to chill with a good atmosphere and great food, whether on a date or with family, go to the Grey Fox Grille on State Street in Dover, DE. Oh, I had the Honey Hot Salmon with the garlic butter rice and side ceasar salad, my daughter had the blackened salmon with the same sides. So good!! Thank you Cassandra for the great experience. Fabulous restaurant! The servers were joyous and kind, the live band was AMAZING, and the patio was magical. I had the sirloin, potatoes and the roasted veggies which were a delight. Not pictured was the shrimp appetizer, we ate them too quickly. Delicious. Highly recommend the apple crisp.

My boyfriend and I came here for date night and it was our first time as we're not from the area. Everything was amazing! The food, the drinks, the service, we were very impressed. Would definitely be back if we're in the area again.

Amazing food ! Keisha was a great server with a fun personality. Our glasses were never empty and our table was cleared ! Friendly atmosphere ! Beautiful inside ! Plenty of room for big parties. Clean restrooms. Highly recommend the stop !

If you want good service and a friendly staff... THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE. Even when it gets a little busy on a Friday night, the staff is always courteous and gives you quality service. The new owners are nice people and have made it a point to continue the same quality of service people are used to from the Grey Fox. All the food is made to order and takes a little more time than a classic chain restaurant. Being entitled and loud isn’t going to get you served faster than the other customers in the restaurant. On the rare occasions my order comes out wrong, the staff are quick to remedy it and/or offer an acceptable alternative. I’ve never felt the need to skip out on a check because my food came out late or without a particular side. Grey Fox is one of the few gems Dover has to offer in terms of ambiance and personal attention. Do yourself a favor and check it out.... Especially the barramundi!
